2Pac Inducted Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Legendary hip hop artist, Tupac Shakur was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Friday. 2Pac was joined by ELO, Journey, Joan Baez, Nile Rodgers of Chic, Pearl Jam, and Yes as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2017. 2Pac’s one time label mate and close friend, Snoop Dogg, reflected on the life and work of the late artist in front of the Barclays Center crowd.

Calling Pac “the greatest rapper of all time,” Snoop shared some funny stories and memories. Saying Pac was the person responsible for getting the Dogg to smoke blunts when he was growing up and also shared a funny story about going parasailing with Pac that we will just need to wait and hear about when HBO airs the ceremony on April 29.

After Snoop’s speach, Alicia Keys took the stage to perform a collection of 2pac’s hits, including “Ambitionz Az a Ridah,” “I Ain’t Mad at Cha,” and “Dear Mama.”

Snoop returned to the stage after Alicia to perform “Gangsta Party” with YG. Another of 2Pac’s close friends, Treach from Naughty by Nature, gave his rendition of “Hail Mary.”

Following that performance, T.I. donned Pac’s signature front-tied bandana look and did “Keep Ya Head Up.”
