After almost two months, the search for 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore continues.
The last time Nylo was seen by family members was on Dec 4 at his home in the Walnut Hills neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio.
His whereabouts came into question after his mother, Nyteisha Lattimore, was found dead near Cincinnati’s Purple People Bridge on Dec 12.
According to police, Nyteisha was stabbed to death on Dec. 5 by her boyfriend, DeSean Brown. Brown has been indicted on two counts of murder
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said Brown took Nyteisha’s body to Pete Rose Way near the Purple People Bridge, where investigators found her a week later.
Police say after interrogating Brown, they suspect foul play in Nylo’s disappearance. Brown continues to be unhelpful during the investigation, police say.
In their search for Nylo, crews have scoured the banks of the Ohio River near where Nyteisha’s body was found.
Cincinnati police Lt. Steve Saunders says numerous search efforts have been conducted over the days and weeks since Nylo was reported missing.
“Over 180 miles of shoreline has been searched on both sides of the river in Ohio and Kentucky. They’ve used underwater sonar,” Saunders said.
“We want the public to know we are doing everything as a police department to locate Nylo,” Saunders said on Tuesday.
Anyone with information about Nylo’s disappearance is asked to call police at 513-352-3040.
