A 3-year-old boy from Cincinnati, Ohio remains missing after the discover of his mother’s body on Saturday.
Authorities say 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore was stabbed repeatedly and left near a bridge over the Ohio River.
Police have arrested and charged 20-year-old Desean Brown in connection with Nyteisha’s death.
According to investigators, the suspect who was Lattimore’s boyfriend, is being held on $1 million bond.
Police said they received a call around 3:15 a.m. on Saturday reporting the body of a woman near what is known locally as the Purple People Bridge. They were able to identify the woman as Lattimore.
According to WLWT, court documents allege that Brown stabbed Lattimore at a Melrose Avenue apartment around Dec. 11, with investigators basing that allegation on video and crime scene evidence in addition to witness statements.
Nyteisha’s son, Nylo, hasn’t been seen since December 4. Circumstances regarding the Dec. 4 disappearance of the child are “unknown,” police said.
On Sunday, family members identified a stroller that appeared to belong to Nyteisha, at the riverfront park Yeatman’s Cove near where Nyteisha’s body was found.
A police dive team searched for both evidence and the missing boy near the bridge.
“My sister was a sweet and quiet girl,” Nyteisha’s sister Monique Ross told the newspaper. “Our hearts are broken. [We] hope they find Nylo safe, so we can bring him home.”
She said Nylo’s mother was preparing to start school, and never went anywhere without him.
Nylo has black hair and brown eyes, police said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the police at 513-352-6948 or 513-352-6934.
