A recently released autopsy report of the body of Joshua Feast showed that he was killed by a single gunshot wound to his back.
Ben Crump, the attorney representing Feast’s family, released the results of the independent autopsy report Wednesday night and called for the firing of the La Marque police officer who shot and killed Feast.
“We, now based on the results of the independent autopsy and based on the medical records taken from the night that Joshua Feast was killed, are demanding that Officer Santos be terminated immediately,” Crump said.
Feast, 22, was shot and killed by La Marque police Officer Jose Santos on December 9. While exact details of the shooting have been withheld from the public by officials, Feast’s family claims he was shot in the back as he was running away. They also claim Santos kicked his body after shooting him.
Witnesseses of the shooting told KHOU11 that Feast was running away when he was shot by the police officers.
Crump and Feast’s family are pressing the police department to release body camera video footage from the shooting.
Feast’s mother said she wants to see the video before her son’s funeral on Friday for her own “peace of mind.”
