A remark about the Trump campaign slogan “Make America great again” made by the Alabama Senate candidate, and accused child molester, Roy Moore recently resurfaced. TIME magazine reports that during a September rally in Florence, Alabama, Moore had an interesting opinion on when America was “great”.
When a Black man at the rally asked Moore when he thought America was “great,” Moore reportedly responded:
“I think it was great at the time when families were united. Even though we had slavery, they cared for one another … Our families were strong, our country had a direction.”
