Actor Tommy Ford, best known for his role as Tommy on the ‘90s sitcom “Martin,” is on life support at an Atlanta hospital. According to reports from TMZ, his wife stated that an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen.
Ford was taken to the hospital on Sunday and his condition has worsened ever since. According to his wife, Gina, he’s on life support and might not make it through the day. She says the family is still praying for him.
Mr. Ford’s friend, Anthony Anderson, had tweeted that Mr. Ford had died but that was inaccurate because he was still alive. Anthony Anderson had apparently gotten inaccurate information and has since deleted the tweet.
Tommy was a cast member for all five seasons of the “Martin” show. He played Martin Lawrence’s level-headed best friend who often had to be the voice of reason to Martin’s crazy antics.
In addition to being on “Martin,” Mr. Ford was also on “New York Undercover”, “The Jamie Foxx Show”, and “The Parkers.” He was also an author who wrote children’s books that promoted drug-free and violence-free lifestyles.
