Trayvon Martin’s Parents Release Book To Honor Their Son’s Life

It’s hard to believe five years have pass since the cold-blooded ‘murder’ of Trayvon Martin. On February 5, 2017, he would’ve turned 22-years-old had his life not been cut tragically short. Now, five years after his death, his parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, have written a book that tells the story of their son’s life.

The book, Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, goes beyond the constant chatter of news personalities talking cavalierly about a young man they didn’t know and looks at his life from the people who knew him best- his parents. According to a press release for the newly published book, the book will “offer the true inside story of their son’s life and struggles, his tragic death, and the transformative movement for justice and healing that grew from that tragedy.”

Tracy and Sybrina have embarked on a nationwide tour to promote the book and highlight the fact that after five years since their son’s death, little has changed in terms of injustice and inequality.

First off the kid was never that young when this happened. Secondly it’s for the money, thirdly his own Father had him selling guns or something. It is a terrible thing that happened, those are not great parents idc what anyone says. The kid was going to make a drink that gets you high. My son is 13 I don’t have to worry about that because my son doesn’t get high use drugs or wander the streets.
